FAQ

I'm sure you want it to come off eventually, so yes, it can come off. But I use high quality theatrical paints, and will stay put if it's kept dry, and would even stay on overnight (not that I'm recommending that). The main thing is to keep it dry. If it's wet from sweat or rain, you can gently press on it with a dry cloth to get most of the moisture off.
Soap and water does the trick, and a loofa works great. Although black and red colors can tint the skin, so you may have to scrub harder in places where that paint is directly touching the skin. Good to shower as soon as you are done with the event, to minimise tinting.
I sure can! I've done a tone of promotional events. If you need to arrange models, hair/makeup, video and photography, I can arrange that too! See our promotions page for more info or contact us directly!
That really varies depending on the size and complexity of what you want to do. it could take a few minutes to a few hours. Let us know what you want to do and we'd be happy to provide a quote!
It's a matter of size and complexity and quantity. We are happy to provide a quote based on what you want to have done.
First, thank you for choosing us! Second, please contact us to get a quote, and let us know when you need the work done. If there is an open spot in the schedule, then you can reserve it with a 50% non-refundable deposit. You can pay it online with paypal, and your booking will be set!
It's a matter of size and complexity and quantity. We are happy to provide a quote based on what you want to have done. Typically, though, expect to spend $75 per hour, with a half hour minimum. Though during the busy holiday seasons (like around Halloween) expect $100/hr with a 2 hour minimum.
How shy are you? It's normal to be nervous the first time you are painted, and we've dealt with a lot of models who were at first. In most cases, once the paint is mostly covering you, it gets a lot more comfortable, and even exellerating. Many models who were apprehensive the first time, requested to do it again and again.
If you have a lot of hair where you are going to be painted, then it's best to shave it off first. Long thick hairs act like little paintbrushes making their own designs, and will be a barrier to getting the paint on the skin. I can still attempt it, but will not make any guaruntees on how it will turn out.
Portland has very liberal nudity laws (see the Naked Bike Ride), and for most situations the work I do will not give you any problems if you are just walking around outside. It's still a good idea to check your local laws and see what's permissable.
When you are being painted, chances are you will be standing for quite a while. it can be kinda boring after a while. But for everything to go smoothly, quickly and to keep the artists from making mistakes, please:
  • Be on time
  • No talking on the phone, texting, etc
  • Keep conversation with people to a minimum
  • if you need to move, or a short break, please say something first, it's ok!
  • No drinking or drugs before or during the painting process.

Why Bodypainting?

Halloween is not just fun, it's a time to express yourself, and let loose those inner demons! A person's costume is a means of standing out amongst the crowd, show some individuality, and get some attention!

If that's your goal, then a bodypainted costume will certainly accomplish that! We want to hear your ideas and work with you to do something that stands out, or perhaps even win the local costume contest!

What we do for you:

After getting in touch with us, we will find out what you want to do, on what days, based on current availibility. We will put together a plan as to what will be painted, how long it would take, and what colors are needed so when your turn comes everything will be ready to go. Then You would need to put down a deposit of 50% of the quoted amount to lock in your time.

Then on the specified date and time, we will arrive at your location to get you painted. After completion, you will be all ready to go!

How much is it?

Halloween is the busiest time of the year for bodypainters, and at this time of year it's more expensive than other times. Expect to pay $100/hr, and a 2 hr minimum.

I'm having a party, can you paint everyone?

We do parties, and in terms of painting everyone, well, it's more a matter of time and the number of people. Please contact us with as much detail as possible, and we'll se what we can work out for you. Typically, we just book for the number of hours wanted and do as much as we can in that time, because we don't know what people will ask for in advance, and can't fix a time on that.

I have a business, can you paint my staff?

Sure! But keep in mind they may need to arrive early, or be late getting to the floor, and if you have a lot of employees, we may have to stagger them out. Please contact us and we can see what can be worked out!
